On Wednesday, November 19, after 6 p.m., Garwolin traffic police chased and arrested a 33‑year‑old drunk Renault driver, who was under a driving ban and electronic monitoring.

Chase Begins After Traffic Check Ignored

Late Wednesday night, Garwolin traffic police pursued a Renault driver who refused to stop for a routine road inspection. Ignoring traffic lights and auditory warnings, the driver fled the streets, overtaking other vehicles from the right and posing a serious danger to road users.

Collision Near Trakt Lwowski Roundabout

While attempting to avoid colliding with waiting vehicles at the roundabout on Trakt Lwowski, the driver veered off the road and hung on an embankment. Officers immediately subdued him even as he tried to continue the escape on foot.

Arrest and Breath Test Results

The arrested 33‑year‑old native of Garwolin County tested positive for 0.6 promille alcohol. He also carried a court‑issued driving ban and was wearing an electronic ankle monitor, though a passenger was present in the vehicle during the intervention.

Legal Charges and Penalties

He faces a range of serious offenses, including driving under the influence despite a judicial ban and refusing a traffic check. Penalties could reach up to five years’ imprisonment.
