On Monday, 17 November, residents of Krakow’s Podwawelskie Estate reported a 20‑meter high column of flame after a medium‑pressure gas pipeline ruptured at Komandosów Street. Firefighters and the State Fire Service confirmed no neighboring residential buildings were present, and a wooden shell structure was destroyed. All were unharmed.

Firefighting and Site Security Continue

The State Fire Service said the gas supply was shut off and the flames were put out. Firefighters are still securing the site, assisting gas‑utility operators and monitoring the surrounding area.

Police Technicians Launch Investigation

Police officers say technicians will inspect the site and collect evidence to determine the fire’s cause, as they continue the investigation. They are documenting the scene and gathering traces.
