Firefighters rescued a tiger python trapped under a dishwasher in a Gdynia apartment on February 23 after its owner let it roam indoors.
Firefighters Respond to Python Incident
Firefighters received a report on Monday, February 23, after 21:00. Senior Captain Paweł Przybyłowicz of the Gdynia Municipal State Fire Headquarters told Gazeta.pl that the intervention took place at an apartment on Świerkowa Street.
The python became stuck under a built-in dishwasher in the kitchen. Przybyłowicz stated that the owner had been letting the snake “walk” around the residential apartment. Firefighters confirmed upon arrival that the snake was non-venomous.
Python Safely Rescued
Firefighters dismantled several elements, including the dishwasher casing, to access the trapped python. They safely extracted the reptile from underneath it. Przybyłowicz, the fire service spokesman in Gdynia, reported, “The snake, safe and sound, was returned to the owner’s hands.”
