General Kukula: Belarus Pre-warned Poland of Drones

General Wiesław Kukula, Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, appeared in a TVN24 program, where he discussed the drone incident that occurred during the night of September 9th-10th. Multiple Russian drones violated Polish airspace that night, and General Kukula noted that “these forecasts and warnings” from Belarus were unexpected.

Decision-Making During the Incident

The General highlighted that the most challenging decisions that night were made by General Broni Maciej Klisz, the Operational Commander of the Land Forces. “He had to take the risk that opening fire on the drones might also have negative consequences,” Gen. Kukula said. “He did that brilliantly.”

Poland Strengthes Ties with Allies

Polish President Andrzej Duda confirmed contact with US President Donald Trump. “I spoke on the phone with US President Donald Trump about the repeated violation of Polish airspace by Russian drones that occurred last night,” announced Duda. These consultations indicate a growing cooperation with allies and stress the importance of unity among NATO countries.
