Police from the Property Crime Division identified a 46-year-old Georgian national as a suspect in a burglary that occurred in mid-March on a Mokotów housing estate.

The victim reported the theft of jewelry and other items, estimating losses exceeding 8,000 złoty, prompting a police investigation.

Suspect Identified and Located

Investigators gathered and verified information, leading them to identify the Georgian national as a likely suspect.

Police identified several potential addresses where the suspect might be hiding and apprehended him during a check of one location by officers from the Warsaw VII District Police Headquarters.

Charges Filed and Detention Ordered

The suspect was transferred to the Mokotów police station and charged with burglary.

Following a prosecutor’s request, the court ordered a three-month period of temporary arrest for the suspect.

Potential Sentence

A conviction for burglary carries a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison.

The case is being supervised by the Warsaw Mokotów District Prosecutor’s Office.
