Polish taxpayers can receive 2025 income tax refunds by February 2026 by filing promptly through the e-PIT service.
Key Dates for Filing 2025 PIT Declarations
The earliest deadline for submitting PIT 2025 declarations is February 15, 2026, at 00:00. On this date, the government’s “Your e-PIT” service will launch, allowing taxpayers to file online from home.
The service will feature pre-filled tax declarations for 2025, based on data held by the National Revenue Administration (KAS). Taxpayers with complete data can send their declaration immediately after the service launches.
Tax Refund Deadlines for 2026
The waiting time for a refund overpayment depends on how the declaration is filed. Generally, online filing can result in receiving funds several weeks faster. If a declaration is submitted on February 15, 2026, the tax office should return the overpayment by April 1, 2026, at the latest.
Priority Refunds for Large Family Card Holders
Some taxpayers can receive tax refunds in a significantly shorter, 30-day period. For these individuals, submitting a declaration on February 15, 2026, means the tax refund will be returned by March 17, 2026, at the latest. These preferential rules apply to taxpayers holding a Large Family Card (KDR), which is available to families raising currently or in the past at least three children, regardless of their age.
To take advantage of the accelerated refund, taxpayers must indicate in the form that they hold a valid Large Family Card.
How to Log In to e-Tax Office
Taxpayers can access “Your e-PIT” through the mobile e-Tax Office (e-US) application, the mObywatel application, e-ID, electronic banking, as well as through a trusted profile (login.gov.pl). They can also log in with tax data.
After logging in and authorizing the data, the taxpayer has access to the pre-filled PIT 2025. Before sending the declaration, they should check the correctness of the data, fill in eligible allowances, and provide a bank account number for the refund. Then it’s just a matter of confirming and sending the declaration.
Tax Deductions and Allowances for PIT 2025
In PIT 2025 in the “Your e-PIT” service, only certain pre-filled data is available, such as income data, advance tax payments, and data from information exchanged between authorities. Other allowances and deductions must be calculated and indicated by the taxpayer during filing in the system.
