The American Rodeo Polska event scheduled for September 13 in Gliwice has been canceled by city authorities, who cited animal protection concerns and potential safety risks.
Initial Cancellation of Rodeo Circuits
The rodeo, which had obtained necessary permits and positive opinions from various services, was going to take place at the PreZero Arena. However, city authorities deemed the venue inappropriate for such an event after considering an animal protection ordinance.
Kaczyński Responds to Rodeo Cancellation
When asked for comment by Polsat News reporter Adamina Sajkowska, PiS party leader Jarosław Kaczyński, a self-proclaimed fan of such events, expressed support for the cancellation. He questioned the need for classic rodeos, describing various sports involving animals as “dubious from an animal empathy perspective.”
