On Wednesday, 8 October, police from Grabów and Radom used quads to conduct a coordinated operation aimed at stopping illegal motorised vehicle use in forested areas of the region.
Quads Used to Patrol Remote Forest Areas
On Wednesday (08.10), officers from the Grabów Police Station and the Radom Police Prevention Unit carried out control operations using quads. The aim was to counter threats reported by residents via the National Safety Hazard Map concerning illegal motorised vehicle traffic in forest areas.
Three Villages Under Surveillance
During joint patrols, police traversed the grounds of Zieleniec, Kępa Niemojewska, and nearby Przydworzyc. Actions led to the detention of two drivers illegally entering a forest.
Community Reports Fuel Action
The operations were prompted by citizen reports on the National Safety Hazard Map. The map is an online tool where residents can report hazards such as illegal forest entry, speeding, public alcohol consumption, or vandalism.
KMZB Tool Explained
Each report is analysed by officers and then verified on site, allowing patrols to be better planned and forces directed to genuine risk areas.
Policy on Unauthorized Forest Driving
Police remind that driving motorised vehicles into forested terrain without permission is prohibited and punishable by a fine. Such checks will continue to curb irresponsible behaviour and promote safe use of forest areas.
Ongoing Collaboration
The joint action between Grabów and Radom police units demonstrates effective cooperation aimed at enhancing community safety and protecting the natural environment.
