Authorities evacuated approximately 470 students and staff from a high school in Radzymin, Poland, on Friday after a grenade-like object was reported.
Report of Suspicious Object
On Friday at 10:55 AM, emergency services were called to Cyprian Kamil Norwid High School in Radzymin (Wołomin County) following a report of a dangerous object resembling a grenade.
The object was located on a locker, prompting a decision to immediately investigate and implement standard safety procedures.
Evacuation and Response
Police, firefighters, and a specialized bomb disposal unit were dispatched to the scene, and around 400 students and 70 staff members were evacuated from the building.
Replica Identified
Upon inspection, the object resembling a grenade was determined to be a wooden replica and posed no threat. Despite the lack of a real danger, securing the area and evacuating the building were necessary.
Incident Concluded
A total of approximately 470 people left the school during the operation. The intervention concluded after confirmation that the object was not explosive. Police and firefighters conducted further investigations at the location.
