Halloween Party Escapes Control; Staircase Demolished, Police Intervene

On Friday, Oct. 31, police dealt with a Halloween gathering in Piaseczno that spiraled out of control, leaving about 200 youths vandalising shared property, with no arrests made.

Unplanned gathering turns chaotic

Police intervened on Friday, 31 October, in the building at Jarząbka 24 in Piaseczno after residents reported a Halloween party that had gone out of control. The gathered youths were intent on destroying the building’s facilities and private property, yet no one was detained.

Massive turnout eclipses planned numbers

The event was originally meant to be a modest meeting of five people, but the number of participants grew dramatically. Approximately 200 people congregated on the staircases, in front of the building, and inside the rented apartment, with some appearing to be under the influence of alcohol.

Vandalism damages common property

Damage to shared infrastructure and private belongings was reported. Shared equipment was damaged, staircases were spray‑painted, internal signage was harmed, and walls received scratches. Residents also noted damage to bicycles and scooters left at the entrance.

Police response and dispersal

Following a surge of calls from tenants, police patrols – including several prevention teams – arrived on the scene. Police confirmed receipt of the reports, but when officers reached the location the participants had dispersed in various directions, and no arrests were made. A brief intervention restored order on the staircases and outside the building. No formal damage report has yet been filed.

Future legal reporting

Residents plan to file a report on damage to both common and private property at the Piaseczno County Police Headquarters. They know the apartment where the party took place and its owner, which should facilitate formal filings and further investigative actions.
