At about 16:40 on Poland’s national road 10 near Dzierzążnia, a 22‑year‑old driver was killed when his Opel collided head‑on with a DAF freight truck.

At kilometer 440 of national road 10 between Płońsk and Drobin, an Opel heading toward Płońsk collided head‑on with a DAF truck towing a trailer from the opposite direction, crushing the car’s front section.

Fatality and Rescue

The 22‑year‑old driver was trapped inside the wrecked vehicle. Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to extract him, and a rescue helicopter was dispatched. Despite immediate resuscitation, the man could not be saved.

Truck Driver Uninjured

The 59‑year‑old truck driver sustained no injuries and was examined by police on site. Authorities will investigate the precise circumstances leading up to the collision.
