Preliminary findings indicate that the 72-year-old Opel driver, for unknown reasons, crossed into the oncoming lane on a curve, causing the head-on collision with a Ford.
Victims and Response
The Ford was driven by a 43-year-old woman, accompanied by her 6-year-old son; neither sustained serious injuries. The 72-year-old Opel driver was taken to the hospital but died despite medical intervention.
