HiPP states it received an extortion threat via a rarely used email address and immediately alerted police and launched a crisis management team.

Rat poison was detected in HiPP “Carrot and Potato” baby food jars sold in multiple European countries.
The contamination was first reported by a resident of Eisenstadt, Austria, who noticed a suspicious substance in their child’s meal, prompting laboratory confirmation of the toxin.
Affected Countries and Product Recall
Contaminated jars have been withdrawn from sale in Austria, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, including from the Spar supermarket chain.
HiPP reports no knowledge of further cases and is cooperating with law enforcement, releasing only verified information.
