Szymon Hołownia defends Poland 2050 chairwoman while privately regretting a decision made at her urging.
Hołownia’s Public Position
Szymon Hołownia publicly left no doubt which side he stands on regarding the split in Poland 2050, firmly defending the party’s leadership.
Reason for Departure
Hołownia stated that the group leaving under Paulina Hennig-Kloski’s leadership doesn’t depart due to different political ideas but because of “pathological hatred” for Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, the democratically elected chairwoman.
Division Cause
According to Hołownia, this hatred toward the elected leader led to the current division within the party, as he assessed that the split was driven by personal animosity rather than policy differences.
Private Regrets
Earlier, Hołownia mentioned feeling deceived by Hennig-Kloska, and privately regrets a decision made at Pełczyńska-Nałęcz’s urging, stating he “now regrets” following her advice.
