On Friday, May 29, at 9:55 AM, emergency services responded to a house fire on Koniecpolska Street in Warsaw’s Rembertów district, which spread from a garage to the attic.
Firefighting Operation in Rembertów
Upon arrival, firefighters found a ground-floor building connected to a garage engulfed in flames. The fire spread through the windows and reached the non-habitable attic space.
Seven fire units, including a city operational group, were deployed to the scene. A total of 28 firefighters are currently engaged in the operation, which has resulted in the closure of Koniecpolska Street.
Safety and Incident Status
Two occupants were inside the home when the fire started; both evacuated the building safely before emergency crews arrived. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters utilized two water streams to contain the blaze. Operations are currently ongoing, with crews conducting demolition work and soaking charred structural elements to prevent reignition.
