Poll Results Indicate Opposition Victory

Post-election polls, conducted before and after the closing of polling stations at 7 p.m. on Sunday, suggest a clear victory for the opposition party of Tisza Peter Magyar.

Median Poll Predicts 135 Seats

A Median poll conducted between April 7-11 suggests Magyar’s party could secure up to 135 seats in the 199-seat parliament. The far-right Our Homeland Movement (Mi Hazank) is projected to fall below the 5% electoral threshold.

21 Research Center Poll Shows 55% Support

A pre-election poll by the 21 Research Center shows Magyar’s party with 55% support, while Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s Fidesz has 38%. Our Homeland Movement is near the electoral threshold. Translated into parliamentary seats, this would give Tisza 132 seats and Fidesz 61.

Vote Counting Underway

Hungary does not conduct exit polls. Vote counting began immediately after 7 p.m. when polling stations closed. The National Election Office (NVI) anticipates releasing initial partial results around 8 p.m.
