IBRiS Study Shows Polish Public Split on President Nawrocki’s Engagement

A December 5–6 survey by IBRiS for Onet found that 47.9 % of Poles believe President Karol Nawrocki adequately addresses key national issues, while 46.1 % disagree.

Survey Method and Overall Findings

IBRiS conducted a telephone interview survey (CATI) on 5–6 December with 1,072 respondents.

47.9 % said that President Nawrocki engages adequately with the most important matters for Poles, 46.1 % said otherwise, and 6.1 % were uncertain.

Party‑Based Opinions

Among supporters of the ruling coalition, 53 % view his engagement as insufficient, 11 % negative, and 35 % uncertain.

Opposition voters are far more positive, with 85 % rating his engagement favorably, 6 % negative, and 9 % uncertain.

Earlier Polityka Survey on Presidency

In a separate October survey of 1,001 respondents, 53 % rated Nawrocki’s presidency “good”, 21 % “very good”, 32 % “okay”, 15 % “bad”, 11 % “very bad”, and 21 % had no opinion.

Vote Intention in Hypothetical Second Round

If a second presidential round were held in late October, 40 % of respondents would vote for Nawrocki, 30 % for Trzaskowski, 19 % would abstain, and 11 % were unsure.

Views on Presidential Powers

The same survey revealed that 39 % believe the president should have powers equivalent to a mattress, 31 % think he needs more powers, 16 % think he needs fewer, and 14 % were uncertain.
