A 74-year-old man was critically injured after being struck by a car while crossing illegally near a church in Izdebne Kościelnym.
Accident Details
A serious traffic accident involving a pedestrian occurred at approximately 18:05 on ul. ks. Michała Oziębłowskiego in Izdebne Kościelnym (powiat grodziski). The victim, a 74-year-old man, was struck near the church.
Cause of Incident
Preliminary findings indicate the 74-year-old parked his Mercedes near the church, exited the vehicle, and crossed the road in an unauthorized location. He was hit by the driver of a Mitsubishi passenger car. Friends of the victim stated he had visited the priest regarding Sunday Mass.
Emergency Response
Following the collision, the 74-year-old fell onto the roadway and sustained severe injuries. Unconscious and in critical condition, he was transported to the hospital. The Mitsubishi driver was sober. Two fire brigades, two medical rescue teams, and police are at the scene. The road in the accident area is completely blocked.
