Illegal Gambling Machines and Drugs Seized in Grojec

Last week, Grojec police seized eight illegal gambling machines, cash, and drugs during a raid targeting organized gambling.

Joint Operation Against Gambling Crime

Police from Grojec’s Economic Crimes Department collaborated with the Mazowiecki Customs and Tax Office (MUCS) in Warsaw to combat illegal gambling in Grojec County.

During an inspection, they found and seized eight illegal gambling machines in a local establishment.

Evidence and Seizures

Authorities also confiscated 15,000 zloty in cash and nearly 70 grams of marijuana.

A 28-year-old county resident was detained on charges of drug possession, punishable by up to three years in prison.

Legal Proceedings and Penalties

Those responsible face criminal-tax proceedings.

Under Article 107 of the Penal Code, illegal gambling organizers can face fines or up to three years imprisonment.
