Synoptic forecasters released first‑degree alerts for dense fog across several voivodeships. The affected counties are: Leszczyński, Rawicki, Gostyński, Krotoszyński, Jarociński, Pleszewski, Ostrowski (Greater Poland); Górowski, Głogowski, Polkowicki, Legnicki, Złotoryjski, Jaworski, Milicki, Trzebnicki, Wrocław, Średzki (Lower Silesia); Strzelecki, Opolski, Nyski, Prudnicki, Głubczycki (Opole); Zawierciański, Będziński, Sosnowiec, Mysłowice, Bieruńsko‑Lędziński, Jaworzno (Silesia); Miechowski, Proszowicki, Ołkowski, Chrzanowski, Oświęcimski, Krakowski, Wielicki, Bocheński, Tarnowski (Małopolska); Mielecki, Dębicki, Ropczycko‑Sedziszowski, Kolbuszowski (Podkarpackie); Jędrzejowski, Włoszczowski, Kielecki (Świętokrzyskie).
In these areas, heavy fog may reduce visibility below 200 m and locally deposit hoarfrost. The warnings are in effect from 15 December 18:00 to 16 December 09:30.
Weather Forecast for the Coming Days
On Monday afternoon and evening, the majority of the country will experience extensive cloud cover with intermittent clearing. In the Bieszczady and Beskid Niski ranges, light spray is expected — the only precipitation forecasted that day nationwide. Fog may appear in several locales, with maximum temperatures ranging from 3 °C to 7 °C. Localised warmer conditions in the foothills and Sudetes will reach 8 °C to 10 °C. Wind will be light, occasionally gusty; in the foothills south and southwest winds may gust.
The similar pattern will persist on Tuesday, with maximum temperatures between 2 °C and 7 °C. In the Carpathians, wind gusts could reach up to 70 km/h.
