The National Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that a formal request to waive the parliamentary immunity of MEP Patryk Jaki has been submitted to the European Parliament following a regional investigation.

The National Prosecutor’s Office announced the filing, noting that an investigation conducted by the Investigative Team of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Poznań has gathered evidence supporting suspicions of criminal activity by Patryk Jaki.

The allegations state that the MEP exceeded his powers and failed to fulfill his duties while serving as Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice, specifically during his tenure substituting for the Minister of Justice regarding the Prison Service.
