Warsaw will enforce a temporary ban on carrying firearms and fireworks on November 11, 2025, as part of security measures for the Independence Day celebrations, the Interior Ministry said today.
Temporary Fire‑arms Ban in Warsaw
On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, authorities will prohibit the carrying of firearms in Warsaw. The restriction follows a regulation issued by the Minister of Interior and Administration, published just before the holiday.
Fireworks Also Prohibited
Alongside the firearms ban, the Ministry added a prohibition on carrying and using pyrotechnic devices during the Independence March. The decision aims to boost public safety amid the event.
Security Measures for the Independence March
Marcin Kierwiński urged security services to adopt steps ensuring safety at the Independence March on November 11. He highlighted the need for the new restrictions as part of a broader protective strategy.
Planned Route and Possible Presidential Participation
The march will start at 2:00 p.m. from the Roman Damrowski roundabout and follow Jerozolimskie lanes and the Poniatowski Bridge to the National Stadium. Organizers plan concerts and speeches thereafter. Unofficial reports suggest President Karol Nawrocki may attend, marking a return after his previous participations in earlier years.
