Indiana Lawyer Sues Facebook, Claims $11,000 in Lost Ad Revenue

Mark Steven Zuckerberg, an Indiana-based attorney, is suing Facebook after his account was repeatedly locked, resulting in $11,000 in lost advertising income.

Lockout Incidents and Alleged Identity Confusion

The lawyer claims that his account was blocked five times in the last eight years, with Meta’s algorithms mistakenly identifying him as Mark Elliot Zuckerberg, Facebook’s co-founder.

Lawsuit Alleges Copyright and Advertising Rights Violations

Mark S. Zuckerberg’s lawsuit against Meta alleged that by deleting his account, Meta violated copyright agreements and the attorney’s rights to advertising revenue. The lawsuit states that he still paid approximately $11,000 for ads during the time his account was blocked.

Identity Verification and Account Restoration

To prove his identity and get his account reinstated, Mark S. Zuckerberg submitted extensive documents including a photo ID, credit cards, and numerous photos of himself. Meta has since restored his accidentally removed account and stated they have taken steps to prevent similar errors in the future.
