Inmate Escapes Detention Center in Zielona Góra, Critical Condition

An inmate tried to escape a detention center in Zielona Góra on the night of December 3 but was caught and is now in critical condition.

Escaped at 4 AM via Ceiling Hole

On Wednesday, December 3, an inmate left his cell by drilling a hole in the roof, then used a makeshift rope to descend. He attempted to cross to the roof of another building, but the rope snapped, causing him to fall.

Critical Injuries, ICU Transfer

Emergency services arrived and used a lift to reach the inmate. He was brought to the ground on a stretcher and immediately transferred to an ambulance, which took him to a hospital. Reports indicate severe hypothermia and multiple internal injuries; he is currently receiving care in the Anesthesia and Intensive Care department.

Investigation Underway

The General Director of the Prison Service has commissioned a team of specialists to investigate the incident. No further information will be released until the investigation is complete.
