Polish Border Guard officers, in coordination with police forces in Romania and Hungary and with support from FRONTEX, have recovered two luxury vehicles collectively valued at 750,000 PLN.
Cross-border Investigation and Recovery
Officers from the Bieszczady Border Guard Unit, Polish police, and international counterparts successfully tracked two high-value vehicles stolen from a Polish rental company. The operation was facilitated by the exchange of intelligence between the Operational-Investigative Department, the Metropolitan Police in Warsaw, and FRONTEX personnel.
Details of the Recovered Vehicles
Romanian police seized a 2025 Volvo XC90, valued at approximately 350,000 PLN, following intelligence shared by Polish authorities. Simultaneously, Hungarian police intercepted a 2025 Mercedes GLE 300D, valued at roughly 400,000 PLN, which had also been reported stolen from the same rental agency.
Ongoing Procedures and Operational Statistics
The recovered vehicles remain in the custody of local law enforcement agencies, which are currently conducting further investigative actions. Since the beginning of 2026, the Bieszczady Border Guard Unit has recovered nearly 70 vehicles with a total value exceeding 8.3 million PLN through both independent operations and international cooperation.
