Intoxicated 18-Year-Old Causes Collision, Held Driver’s License for Only 6 Months

An 18-year-old Sochaczew woman crashed her car while intoxicated and over the limit, with marijuana found on her.

An emergency call from a phone with an accident detection feature alerted Sochaczew police to a collision in Okopach. Officers responded and found the 18-year-old driver had lost control of her Skoda Fabia, striking a tree.

Tests revealed she had over 1.5 promiles of alcohol in her system. During further investigation, police discovered marijuana in her possession.

Legal Consequences

The teenager was taken into custody and her driver’s license, obtained just six months prior, was confiscated. After sobering up, she faced charges of driving under the influence and possessing narcotics.

Both offenses carry a maximum penalty of three years imprisonment. Police emphasize the severe dangers of impaired driving to all road users.
