On Monday night, Tatra Police arrested an intoxicated couple in a mountain hut near Morskie Oko after reports of aggression and theft disrupted other guests.
Police Response to Disturbance
On 27 October around 18:00, Tatra Police received a call from the mountain hut overlooking Morskie Oko. The report detailed a couple acting aggressively towards staff and other guests, and the theft of two beer cans.
Riding in the police car, officers learned the pair had already moved to another building within the complex. Attempts to calm the male party provoked a further outburst of aggression.
Arrest of Intoxicated Couple
Officers deemed it necessary to restrain the man, who was heavily intoxicated, and secure him with handcuffs to protect both the staff and the couple’s safety. The woman faced a similar situation.
The male was a 37‑year‑old from the Pomeranian region, while the female was a 48‑year‑old resident of the Silesian region.
Details of the Incident
Both individuals were taken into custody and transported to the County Police Headquarters in Zakopane. The pair had opted to switch from a room with a view of the Tatras to a less comfortable, non‑view room.
They are expected to answer for their actions after they sober up.
Case Outcome
The incident was fully reported by the county police commander in Zakopane, who documented the arrest and handcuffing of the intoxicated couple.
