Following Israeli and U.S. attacks on Iran in February 2026, a survey gauged Polish readers’ perceptions of the conflict’s influence on their country.

Conflict’s Impact Felt by Most Poles

A majority of respondents believe the conflict involving Iran is significantly impacting Poland. Specifically, 75.61% (1370 respondents, as of March 31, 2026) indicated a substantial effect.

A smaller portion, 20.03% (363 votes), acknowledged an influence but deemed it less significant. Only 2.54% (46 votes) felt there was no impact, while 1.82% (33 respondents) were undecided. A total of 1812 people participated in the poll.

Escalation and Initial Actions

The conflict involving Iran began in late February 2026, quickly escalating with military actions by multiple nations. Initial days saw airstrikes, missile attacks, and strikes on infrastructure across the Middle East.

Reports included airspace closures, attacks on military bases, and retaliatory actions from Iran. These actions involved various countries in the region and influenced the evolving situation. International reactions followed, with the UN Security Council convening an emergency session and António Guterres calling for a ceasefire.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated the alliance did not plan direct involvement in the conflict.
