A spokesperson for the Iranian armed forces stated that “crude and arrogant rhetoric, as well as baseless threats from the delusional US president, who is stuck in a dead end and justifying the successive failures of the US military,” will not affect the continuation of Iran’s offensive and successful operations.

Trump Issues Ultimatum to Iran

On Monday, April 6th, US President Donald Trump declared Iran could be annihilated overnight, threatening action by Tuesday night. He warned that without an agreement, Iran would “return to the Stone Age,” lacking power plants and bridges.

Trump claimed the US could destroy all Iranian bridges and power plants within four hours, but also stated a preference for negotiation, noting talks with Iran were ongoing and expressing hope for good faith engagement.

Trump Prioritizes Strait of Hormuz Access

Trump emphasized that guaranteeing free flow of oil and opening the Strait of Hormuz was a “big priority.” He asserted that the US won the war and therefore has the right to charge fees for passage through the waterway, rather than Iran.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei labeled US and Israeli attacks as “crimes against humanity,” accusing them of violating international law and criticizing global institutions for their silence, or even complicity in fueling the conflict.
