According to a post on X, Aragczi stated that the passage for all commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz is now fully open for the remainder of the ceasefire period, following a coordinated route announced by the Islamic Republic of Iran Ports and Maritime Organization.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed the reports in a post on Truth Social, stating, “Iran just announced that the Strait of Hormuz is fully open and ready for shipping. THANK YOU!” Following the announcement, oil prices fell by 10 percent.

The Strait of Hormuz is a crucial maritime route for the export of resources from the Persian Gulf region, normally carrying 20 percent of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
