The speaker of the Iranian parliament stated that Iranian forces are awaiting the arrival of U.S. troops to “set them on fire” and punish their regional allies, according to reports.
He alleges the U.S. is planning a ground attack despite publicly engaging in diplomatic efforts to end the conflict, claiming the U.S. is simultaneously signaling negotiations while secretly planning an invasion.
U.S. Military Deployment to the Middle East
The U.S. Central Command announced on Saturday that the USS Tripoli, a naval warship, has arrived in the Middle East amid escalating speculation about a potential U.S. ground attack on Iran.
CENTCOM also stated that transport and fighter aircraft, along with amphibious and tactical assets, are prepared for deployment.

Iranian General Warns of “Humiliating Captivity”
A spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Ebrahim Zolfaghari, warned that American soldiers would face “humiliating captivity” in the event of a U.S. ground operation or attempt to seize islands.
Zolfaghari stated that “warriors of Islam” have long awaited events proving that aggression leads only to humiliation, dismemberment, and disappearance, with American commanders becoming easy prey for sharks in the Persian Gulf.
