Iran Warns US Against Land Operation: ‘Holy Land Is Not for Servants of Hell’

Iran’s national security chief warns US officials that any land incursion would face resistance from “brave sons” of the Islamic Republic.

Iranian Official Issues Warning

Sekretarz Najwyższej Rady Bezpieczeństwa Narodowego Iranu Ali Larijani also assured that Iranians are not afraid of a US land operation. “Iran’s holy land is not a place for servants of hell,” he wrote on Thursday, March 5 on X.

Threat Against American Officials

Ali Larijani addressed Americans: “Some American officials have stated that they intend to enter Iranian territory by land with several thousand soldiers. The brave sons of Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei are waiting for you, ready to bring disgrace to the corrupt American officials by killing and capturing thousands of people,” Ali Larijani conveyed in his statement.

Historical Context

Ruhollah Khomeini was the political and spiritual leader of the Islamic revolution, serving as Iran’s Supreme Leader from 1979-1989. After his death, this position was taken over by Ali Khamenei, who was killed in an Israeli-American attack on February 28.

US Officials Respond

In a Monday interview with “The New York Post,” Donald Trump said he would have “no objections” to sending soldiers to Iran who would participate in a land operation if needed. The American president noted that the US “probably doesn’t need” a land operation to achieve its goals in Iran.

Pentagon Stance

On the same day, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth emphasized during a press conference that there are currently no US ground troops in Iran, but suggested they could potentially be sent there in the future. “We are not stupid in this matter. There’s no need to drag 200,000 people there and stay for 20 years,” he added.
