Iran’s Top Adviser Warns of Long War, Tells Trump: ‘Not Your Business’

Iran’s top foreign policy adviser warns Tehran is ready for prolonged war with US, dismissing diplomacy and threatening regional escalation.

Supreme Leader Adviser: No Room for Diplomacy

High-ranking Iranian official Kamal Kharazi ruled out diplomatic solutions to the current conflict, stating that economic pressure is the only path to end the war. Kharazi accused Donald Trump of deception and breaking promises during previous negotiations.

“There is no room for agreement unless economic pressure is so strong that other countries will be forced to intervene to end the aggression of Americans and Israelis against Iran,” Kharazi told CNN.

Iran Prepared for Long War with US

In a Monday interview with CNN, Kharazi warned that the Tehran government is prepared for a long war with the United States. He suggested Iran will continue attacking Persian Gulf countries to pressure them into pressuring Trump to withdraw from the conflict.

“If this war continues, pressure will increase, and other countries will have no choice but to intervene,” Kharazi emphasized.

New Iranian Leader Takes Power

Mojtaba Khamenei assumed the position of Iran’s Supreme Leader on Sunday, replacing his father Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the first day of attacks by Israel and the United States. The 56-year-old was chosen by Iran’s Assembly of Experts.

The new leader has maintained close relations with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) for years and was previously considered a key intermediary between his father and the IRGC leadership.

Kharazi Responds to Trump’s Criticism

When asked about Trump’s criticism of Khamenei’s nomination as “unacceptable,” Kharazi responded: “It’s not his business.” Kharazi stated that the responsibility of Iran’s leader is to direct the country’s defensive capabilities, a role he said the new leader would fulfill.
