Funeral Schedule and Location
The service will take place on November 28 at the Church of NMP Częstochowska in Szumów, Zambrowski County, Podlaskie Voivodeship. At 11:30 a memorial liturgy will be held, after which the deceased will lie in state at the parish cemetery.
The bodies will be displayed at the church on November 27 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on the funeral day starting at 10:30 am.
Family’s Request for Donations and Balloons
The family asks that, instead of flowers, visitors donate to a fund for Antosia Krupiennik’s treatment, run through siepomaga.pl.
Donations will be collected during the viewing, and visitors are also requested to bring helium‑filled balloons rather than flowers.
Fire Investigation and Suspected Cause
The woman and her two‑year‑old grandson died in a house fire on November 22 in Szumów. An electric device—apparently a humidifier—melted in a corner of the room and is believed to have sparked the blaze.
A fire‑investigator will determine whether the device itself or its wiring caused the fire.
