Jeffrey Epstein’s Emails Refer to Smolensk Crash and Polish President Kaczyński

Polish news outlets say Jeffrey Epstein wrote about the Smolensk plane crash and Poland’s former president Lech Kaczyński in a 2013 email, dismissing conspiracy theories and commenting on U.S.–Russian ties.

Smolensk Disaster References in Epstein Emails

According to Polish news agency PAP, Epstein wrote about the Smolensk air disaster in an email to an unnamed woman with a Polish‑sounding name. He critiqued conspiracy theories surrounding the crash, calling them an “aberration” and an “insult” to the victims’ memory, including that of deceased president Lech Kaczyński.

Epstein’s View on Kaczyński and Russian Relations

Epstein portrayed Kaczyński as a strong ally of the United States, stating that Russia would unlikely sever ties with the U.S. by “killing a close ally.” He dismissed allegations that Donald Tusk was responsible for the crash, noting a lack of evidence that Russia bore responsibility.

House Oversight Release Shows Epstein’s Anti‑Trump Rant

On Thursday, the House Oversight Committee released more than 20,000 pages of Epstein’s emails. They contain the billionaire’s boasting about compromising photographs of Donald Trump, labeling him “dirty Donald” and detailing a visit to Epstein’s home.

Allegations of Trump’s Knowledge of Epstein’s Underage Encounters

In one message, Epstein claimed the president was aware of his meetings with underaged girls and that he spent hours with one victim at his residence. Trump fired back, calling the claims “completely false.” The White House stated the emails do not prove any misconduct by the president.

Epstein’s Legal History and Death

Epstein was convicted in 2008 for sexual offenses and served 13 months in prison; he faced new charges in 2019. The billionaire died in jail in 2019, where suicide was reported.
