Kaczyński’s Allegations
“Whenever the ground crumbles beneath them, they use the same methods: provocations and insinuations aimed at intimidating political opponents and their families. Another line has been crossed: the President’s mother’s apartment was attacked,” Jarosław Kaczyński wrote on X on Sunday. He characterized the current administration as “pure evil” and called for the integration of patriotic forces.
Tusk Rejects Political Conspiracies
Prime Minister Donald Tusk addressed the accusations prior to an emergency meeting with ministers, criticizing the “rising wave of purely political and conspiratorial speculation.” Tusk described claims that the government was orchestrating provocations as either extreme cynicism or extreme stupidity.
Emergency Response to False Alarms
Deputy Interior Minister Czesław Mroczek explained that the Emergency Notification Center received a report on Saturday at 7:33 PM regarding a fire and threats to children’s lives at the residence. After multiple failed attempts to contact occupants, emergency teams forced entry. It was subsequently confirmed that the apartment was empty.
Police Investigation into the Hoax
Chief Commander of the State Fire Service, Wojciech Kruczek, noted that there were no signs of fire, smoke, or occupants upon inspection. A second report claiming a cardiac arrest at the same address forced rescuers to verify the status of potential victims. The Police Commander-in-Chief, Marek Boroń, confirmed that authorities are actively working to identify the perpetrators of the false alarm.
