Kaczyński Announces “March for Power” Set for March 7, 2026

PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński announces a unity march scheduled for March 7, 2026, amid party tensions.

Kaczyński’s Unity Declaration

In a post on X, Jarosław Kaczyński emphasized that unity is the recipe for victory and accused any attempts to divide the party of implementing the scenario of the current ruling coalition. He announced that the party will begin a march on March 7, 2026, to prepare for the parliamentary campaign, stressing that only the victory of a united patriotic camp will ensure Poland’s stable future.

Party Tensions and Ethics Committee

The announcement comes amid public disputes within PiS, with reports that Mateusz Morawiecki, Patryk Jaki, and other politicians are scheduled to appear before the party’s ethics committee. PiS MP Michał Wójcik addressed these tensions on TVN24, mysteriously referring to the march as the beginning of the path to victory and expressing hope that the party would win in 18 months.

Wójcik Avoids Direct Questions

When asked about the public exchange between Morawiecki and Jaki, Wójcik avoided a direct answer, stating it was a matter of respect rather than discussion and declining to comment further on the internal party disputes despite his stated respect for the party leadership.

Possible Program Convention Announcement

Kaczyński has not specified what will happen on March 7, but media reports suggest the date could see the presentation of the PiS candidate for prime minister or a new party program. Earlier, Kaczyński mentioned in Radio Maryja that he had made a decision about the prime minister candidate but wanted to discuss it with a larger gathering of party members. Potential candidates include Zbigniew Bogucki, Przemysław Czarnek, Anna Krupka, Tobiasz Bocheński, and less known figures like Jakub Banaszek.
