Jarosław Kaczyński stated that Mateusz Morawiecki’s “Development Plus” association will operate internally within the PiS party, with members joining an Expert Council.
Morawiecki Association to Operate Internally
Jarosław Kaczyński announced that the activities of Mateusz Morawiecki’s “Development Plus” association will be conducted within the PiS party. Members of the association, including MPs and MEPs, will be incorporated into an Expert Council.
Kaczyński stated that other activities of the association will be suspended, but clarified that it will not be dissolved.
“Two Lungs” for the Party
According to the PiS leader, this solution will give the party “two lungs.” He explained that PiS naturally clashes with confederate formations in elections and proposes the implementation of many of their postulates while possessing governing experience.
Kaczyński assessed that nominating Przemysław Czarnek is “the right response” to the need to engage with the far-right electorate.
Appealing to Different Voter Groups
Kaczyński emphasized the importance of appealing to voters who prioritize effective governance and stability. He highlighted Prime Minister Morawiecki’s achievements in economic development and social improvement, while also acknowledging the contributions of former Prime Minister Beata Szydło.
Expert Council as Key Institution
The Expert Council will be the primary institution, with further details regarding other matters to be agreed upon. Kaczyński affirmed that the goal is to win, stating that PiS is the only Polish party with experience in implementing good policies with positive results.
He urged skeptics to examine European statistics, reports, and rankings, which he claims demonstrate the success of eight years of PiS governance, often placing Poland first in various fields. He acknowledged that a wave of attacks has obscured these achievements and emphasized the need to overcome this through diverse approaches and appeals to different electorates.
Morawiecki Calls for Focus on Fighting Current Government
Mateusz Morawiecki stated that the entire right-wing camp must focus on “fighting this government of lawlessness, lack of ambition, the collapse of the NFZ [National Health Fund], and a gigantic budget hole.”
