Karol Nawrocki’s office said it cannot disclose future donations to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, responding to a December email from the Polish President’s Office.
December Inquiry to the Presidency
On December 1st, an email was sent to the President’s Office asking whether Karol Nawrocki was planning to donate an item to the upcoming WOŚP auction or otherwise support the charity.
Legal Basis for Non‑Disclosure
The office replied after a few days, stating that the requested information falls outside the scope of the Act on Access to Public Information because the question concerns future actions, which are not public information.
Caritas Support Since the 2000s
Emilia Wierzbicki, spokesperson for Nawrocki’s team, said that he has long supported the aid institution Caritas, and is expected to do so again this year.
Goodwill Package for a Family in Need
On Friday, the President’s Office announced that Karol Nawrocki and his wife Marta had contributed to the “Goodwill Package” organized by the Spring Association, providing heating, household appliances, school supplies, towels, food and cleaning supplies for a family whose situation worsened after the father’s illness.
Auction Items from Former Presidents
The previous presidential couple also took part in the auction: former President Andrzej Duda donated a silver tie pin with an onyx and eagle motif and a card from a Warsaw jeweler, while First Lady Agata Kornhauser‑Duda gave a turquoise silk dress with a multicolored jacquard waistcoat. The auction sold the tie pin for just over 20,000 zloty and the dress set for 10,000 zloty.
