On November 20, German politician Fabian Keubel blasted Polish politicians on X, labeling the country a clown and attacking Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski.
Keubel Digs into Polish Politics
Keubel posted on X that a “clown” claiming sabotage is always funny. He called Donald Tusk a shame to Poland and said the nation deserves better. He urged the replacement of Polish leaders with “strong” politicians who would not need to be anti‑German or style “Polish victims.” Keubel also said that Poles see themselves as a “great” victim of European history and that “victimhood is part of the national identity.”
Sikorski Addresses Acts of Sabotage
During a speech in the Sejm, Sikorski said recent incidents were not only sabotage but “state terror” aimed at causing human casualties. He warned of a diplomatic response and criticised Polish politicians who exploit anti‑Ukrainian and anti‑Russian emotions for personal gain. He also revoked the Russian consulate’s permission to operate in Gdańsk.
AfD’s Ties to Russia
Parliamentarians of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) maintain contact with the Kremlin. Extreme‑right leaders accuse the party of spying for Russia. According to the head of the Bundestag’s intelligence oversight committee, Russia uses influence among AfD members to obtain sensitive information.
