Kia Driver Crashes into Tow Truck on S2 Highway, Flees Scene on Foot

Before 7 PM on the Southern Bypass of Warsaw (S2), at the junction with the S79 route, a collision occurred between a passenger car and a tow truck. The local lane of S2 towards the Puławska junction was initially blocked, and the tow truck driver was hospitalized.

Circumstances of the Crash

The incident took place on the S2 section between the Warszawa Lotnisko and Puławska junctions. Preliminary findings indicate that the driver of a Kia hit a tow truck carrying a Honda. The passenger car came to a standstill across the road, causing significant traffic disruptions.

Aftermath and Emergency Response

The driver and passenger from the Kia fled the scene on foot. Firefighters, police, and medical rescue teams responded to the incident. The tow truck driver, who was injured, was transported to the hospital. During the emergency response, the local lane of S2 towards Puławska was blocked, with one lane later reopened.
