In the afternoon of Sunday 21 December, an incident occurred near Stągiewna Street on the Island Spichrzów in Gdańsk’s Śródmieście district.

Attack and Response

A resident of Gdańsk was targeted by an attacker armed with a knife who aimed to harass his partner. The partner intervened, leading to the victim’s injuries and her transport to hospital.

Witness Account

One witness testified that the attacker had purchased the knife from a nearby pawnshop just before the attack. He also reported seeing “a lot of blood” and a young man lying on the ground.

Police Action

Following the incident, the police began a search for the aggressor. By 3 p.m. they had detained a 26‑year‑old Polish citizen suspected of the attack and were conducting forensic investigations.
