17-year-old arrested for armed robbery with knife after stealing jacket from teenagers, placed in temporary detention.
Robbery Reported
A man reported a robbery to the police. According to his report, a 13-year-old and a 16-year-old were attacked by a young man who threatened them with a knife and stole a jacket worth 700 złoty from the younger boy.
Suspect Apprehended
Criminal investigators quickly gathered necessary information and conducted several checks before making the arrest. The 17-year-old was apprehended two days later near the scene of the incident, wearing the stolen jacket and carrying a knife and brass knuckles. Police also confiscated cell phones, one of which was reported stolen by another police unit.
Denial and Charges
The suspect pretended not to know anything about the robbery when questioned by police. Based on the collected evidence, the young man was charged with armed robbery with a dangerous weapon and receiving stolen property.
Court Order
On request from the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw-Praga Południe, the court applied a preventive measure in the form of temporary detention for the suspect.
