Polish authorities dismantled a car theft operation in Wołomin County, arresting two men and recovering stolen vehicle parts and drugs.
Operation Targets Car Theft Ring
The “Kobra” unit, in collaboration with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBŚP) and the Border Guard, dismantled another car theft operation in Wołomin County.
Police arrested two men and secured a partially dismantled Toyota Corolla stolen from Berlin near the Polish embassy, along with license plates and numerous parts from stolen vehicles.
Evidence Recovered at the Scene
On the identified property, officers found a partially dismantled Toyota Corolla reported stolen by Berlin police. They also discovered cut VIN plates, vehicle documents, German license plates, potentially forged Polish plates, a dismantled radio, money, and narcotics.
The 32-year-old suspect possessed MDMA and marijuana, while the 54-year-old had mephedrone.
Charges Filed and Detention Request Denied
Both men were arrested and face 20 charges each of intentional vehicle trafficking and possession of narcotics. The Wołomin District Prosecutor’s Office requested temporary arrest, but the court denied the request.
Investigation Ongoing
The investigation is being supervised by the Wołomin District Prosecutor’s Office.
