Kremlin Reveals New Details: Talks with Trump Could Extend for Hours, Putin Arrives at Summit

The Kremlin warns that negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump may last many hours, with a Russian delegation arriving at the summit in a confrontational mood. It was disclosed that the meeting in Alaska will cover more than just the Ukraine war.

Kremlin: Putin‑Trump Meeting May Last Up to 7 Hours

The Kremlin announced that the talks could last up to seven hours. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Russian state TV that the Russian side expects the discussions to conclude efficiently. He added that the negotiations might run 6‑7 hours. Kremlin Vice‑President Kirill Dmitriev, a close ally of Putin, described the delegation’s mood as “stirring”. He said the leaders would discuss “the full spectrum of relations, including Russia‑US ties”, not only the Ukraine war. Dmitriev emphasized that the meeting aims to convey Russia’s stance to the U.S. side.

Putin Arrives in the USA at the Last Moment

According to the latest reports, the Russian leader will arrive in Alaska at exactly 11 a.m. local time (9 p.m. Warsaw time), the same moment the summit with leaders is set to begin. The White House confirmed that the summit starts at that hour. Putin will fly on a specially configured aircraft, the IL‑96‑300. In Anchorage, Donald Trump will personally greet him. This information was relayed by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. Similar aircraft with other delegation members had already landed; Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov arrived earlier. Putin stopped in Magadan on his way. This will be the first visit by a Russian president to the United States in a decade. The U.S. side had only a week to prepare for this crucial, security‑intensive summit.
