Large Fire Engulfs Production Plant Near Lublińce; RCB Urges Public Stay Away

A massive fire broke out Monday at a production plant in Sadów near Lublińce, Silesia, prompting a government security alert to stay home and keep windows shut.

Fire Engulfs Two Production Halls

A fire broke out Monday at around 3 p.m. in two adjacent halls on Rolnicza Street in the village of Sadów near Lublińce, Silesian Voivodeship. The buildings, located away from residential areas, house production machinery and furniture‑making materials.

Dozens of fire‑engine teams and drones are still on scene, and no one has been injured.

Firefighters Battle Uncontrolled Blaze

At 6:30 p.m., senior section chief Łukasz Wołosz reported that 42 state and volunteer firefighting units from across Silesia were fighting the fire, which remains uncontrolled.

For safety, crews are working only outside the 100 × 20 m hall, using water streams from both ground‑based hoses and hydraulic platforms. The hall contains upholstery materials, foam and other furniture‑production supplies.

Government Security Center Issues Alert

In response, the Government Security Center sent an alert to residents of Lublin County, Silesian Voivodeship, urging them not to approach the fire site and, if possible, to stay home and close windows.
