Łatwogang Crosses Poland by Bicycle, Raising Over 11 Million Zloty for Charity

Internet influencer Piotr Hancke, known as Łatwogang, is cycling from Zakopane to Gdańsk to raise funds for life-saving gene therapy, having already secured over 11 million zloty in donations.

Campaign Progress and Support

As of 7:00 AM on Sunday, May 24, the fundraiser has surpassed 11 million zloty. Piotr Hancke emphasized that the initiative is a collective effort, noting that even watching the live stream and its accompanying advertisements contributes to the cause.

Hancke noted that every form of support is valuable, as many donors have already contributed significantly to his previous campaigns. The influencer is currently undertaking the journey from Zakopane to Gdańsk.

Motivation and Logistics

The inspiration for this expedition came from the stories of children suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), specifically a boy named Maks who reached out via email. Hancke decided that helping Maks was a priority among many children in need.

The influencer prepared for the ride on short notice, noting that the journey’s duration depends on physical conditions but may take approximately 40 hours. He is accompanied by a support vehicle and intends to rest briefly in Gdańsk before returning to Zakopane.

Fundraising Goals and Context

The target for the child’s gene therapy is approximately 15 million zloty. Since October 2025, over 3 million zloty has been collected, with about 12 million zloty remaining. The fundraiser held over 400,000 zloty at the start of the trip.

Maks Tocki, the recipient of the funds, expressed euphoria and disbelief regarding the campaign. Previously, Łatwogang organized a charity event that raised over 251 million zloty for the Cancer Fighters foundation, attracting 1.5 million peak viewers.
