We increasingly observe situations where trade unions attribute to themselves broader rights than stipulated by law. This applies to various areas: negotiations on wage increases, utilizing exemptions from work obligations, organizing training for labor inspectors, or even expectations concerning benefits.
The Root Cause: Complexity and Outdated Practices
The issue is not that trade unions consciously seek abuses. Far more frequently, the problem stems from complex regulations and long-standing, often outdated, practices. Therefore, it is worth returning to basics and clarifying what is legally mandated versus what has merely become customary.
