Lawrow Blames Europe for Missing Ukraine Deal

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov criticized reports about Ukraine negotiations, accusing European leaders of undermining Trump’s war‑ending plan and lamenting missed chances for mediation.

Lavrov Criticizes Media Noise Over Trump Plan

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said the 28‑point plan proposed by President Donald Trump was deliberately released to create media noise. He warned that those pushing this noise aim to undermine Trump’s efforts and reinterpret the plan to serve their own interests.

Kremlin Warns of Radical Scenario if Agreement Stale

He noted that no official version of the plan has yet been passed to Russia and warned that erasing the spirit and text of the Anchorage agreement would put the world in a radically different situation. Lavrov emphasized that Russian diplomacy is accustomed to professional work, not to leaking information before official agreements, contrasting this with the approach of European diplomacy.

Lavrov Accuses Europe and Excludes Western Mediation

Addressing European leaders, Lavrov said they had a chance but wasted it, accusing them of ignoring Russia’s role. He declared that mediation by France or Germany in the Ukrainian conflict is excluded, though Belarus and Turkey could potentially play such a role.
