Legnica: 13-Year-Old Detained After Attack on Elderly Woman

In Legnica, Poland, a 13-year-old girl was apprehended on March 23rd following an assault on a senior citizen occurring around 1 p.m. on March 15th.

Attack on Senior Citizen in Legnica

The attack took place on March 15th around 1:00 PM in Legnica. Police reported that the 13-year-old resident of the city fractured the nose of an elderly woman.

Police Investigation

Officers from the Juvenile and Pathology Department of the Legnica City Police Headquarters secured images of individuals potentially connected to the incident, interviewed witnesses, and gathered evidence to reconstruct the attack.

The 13-year-old was brought to the police child custody room.

Official Statement

On Monday, March 23rd, the teenager was detained and taken to the police child custody room. Jagoda Ekiert of the Legnica City Police Headquarters stated that all actions involving minors are carried out with particular care and in accordance with applicable regulations, ensuring the court has a complete understanding of the situation to make an appropriate decision.

Court Decision Pending

Police will submit the collected evidence to the family court. The court will conduct further proceedings and decide whether educational or corrective measures will be applied to the 13-year-old, as provided by law.
